  • Benign fibrous tumour arising from tendon sheath
  • Adults most commonly affected, peak 3rd–5th decades
  • Male predominance
  • Hand and wrist predilection

Clinical Features

  • Small painless nodule attached to tendon sheath
  • Fingers and wrist most common
  • Slowly growing

  • Fingers and hand
  • Wrist
  • Foot

Imaging

MRI: low-signal nodule adherent to tendon sheath

Pathology

  • Dense fibrous tissue with cleft-like spaces
  • Scattered spindle fibroblasts
  • t(2;11) in some cases

Genetics

t(2;11)(q31-32;q12) in subset

Treatment

  • Simple excision curative
  • Recurrence possible if incomplete

Prognosis

  • Excellent - benign
  • Low recurrence with complete excision
